Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Support

We’re growing and looking for another person to join the Technidrive team.

This role would suit someone with experience in industrial electrical or mechanical equipment, but we’re equally interested in someone who’s got a genuine interest in engineering and wants to learn. If you’ve worked with motors, gearboxes, control panels, automation, maintenance, manufacturing, electrical installations, plant equipment, or even just have a strong technical background and good attitude, we’d love to hear from you.

At Technidrive we supply electric motors, gear units, variable speed drives, automation products and engineered solutions to customers across Ireland and the UK. No two days are the same, and you’ll be dealing with everything from simple spare part enquiries to helping customers specify complete drive systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Speaking with customers by phone, email and occasionally in person
• Preparing quotations and following up enquiries
• Helping customers select the right motors, gearboxes, drives and automation products
• Liaising with suppliers for pricing, lead times and technical information
• Processing customer orders and keeping customers updated
• Supporting the external sales team
• Learning about our products and applications
• Building long-term relationships with customers and suppliers

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to tick every box.

Ideally You Might Have:

• Experience in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering
• Experience in technical sales or customer service
• Knowledge of electric motors, gearboxes, VSDs, automation or industrial equipment
• Good communication skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• You’re mechanically minded and enjoy solving problems
• You’ve worked as an electrician, maintenance engineer, fitter, technician or apprentice
• You’ve recently completed an engineering qualification
• You’re looking to move from the tools into an office-based role
• You’ve got a genuine interest in engineering and technology
